Long Gun #015: Model 1807 Indian Carbine made on government contract by Peter Gonter of Lancaster , Pa. in 1808. U.S. musket barrel with no bayonet lug and pistol size lock. Gonter marked on the sideplate. US and 1808 stamped in the stock. Tacks appear genuine. The contract for these guns is known, but this is the only example to surface thus far.
